Camp Fire Oneida County to offer baby-sitting course in Laona

Interested in preparing your child for babysitting?  Help them become a responsible and self-reliant baby sitter by registering them for the Camp Fire Oneida Council’s “I’m Taking Care” babysitting class.

The course is designed to prepare youth to babysit by teaching responsible behaviors, childcare skills, first aid basics, safety and accident prevention, as well as fun and engaging kid activities.  The goal is to teach local youth with hands-on exercises to help them feel confident and responsible with their babysitting skills.

The class will be held on Saturday, April 27th from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Laona School.  Registration is required and is available online at www.campfireoneida.org.  The course is available to Forest County youth ages 11 and up.  A program fee of $40 per child includes the program, workbook, supplies, lunch and a certification card.  Class sizes are limited, and enrollment is on a first come, first served basis.
