Forest County Employees Taking Care of You program

The University of Wisconsin Madison Extension office in Forest County wants you to take care of you.  Recognizing that we have many demands on our time, balancing work and family time, caring for a parent, and even running kids around, the Forest County Extension office is offering the four-part class to Forest County employees beginning Thursday, September 26th.  The classes will be held from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the County Board room on September 26th, October 3rd, October 10th, and October 17th.

Taking Care of You is a research-based, hands-on program developed by the University of Missouri-Extension that offers practical strategies and experiences to help people deal with the stress in their lives. Managing life’s challenges in healthy ways allows people to take better care of themselves and their overall health. At its most basic level, Taking Care of You increases participants’ awareness of their bodies, how stress affects them, and strategies for healthier responses to stress.

Forest County Extension Educator Michelle Gobert will teach the course.  The program is free, but space is limited.  County employees interested in attending should request participation approval from their appropriate Department Head and then register by clicking here or call Michelle at (715) 478-7797 to reserve a spot.   If the demand for the class warrants, Michelle does anticipate hosting the class on a quarterly basis.
