Outdoor Adventure Series

The Forest is calling!  Forest County youth and families are invited to spend time outdoors while learning about hiking, snowshoeing and canoeing from experienced outdoor enthusiasts Erik and Kenzie Carlson.  Instruction will be geared toward youth age 12-18, but all ages are welcome. Erik and Kenzie will be leading our first group hike on Saturday, November 2nd at Goodman Park which is located near the Strong Falls on the upper Peshtigo River.

Participants should meet at Goodman Park at 11:30 a.m. There is a $5 fee per vehicle for parking at the park. If participants are interested in car-pooling, meet at the Crandon Public Library at 10:00 a.m.  Participants should wear sturdy footwear, dress appropriately for the weather, bring a lunch and drinking water.  Registration for this event is required for both adults and youth.  Registration can be completed online or by calling Michelle Gobert at 715-478-7797.

The trip may be cancelled in the event of heavy rain or snow. Persons registering on the website will be notified by email by 9 p.m. of the previous day in the event of cancellation.
