Forest County Extension is organizing a Pen Pal project!  Weekly writing prompts provided by Extension will be focused on topics that will engage both young and old and will allow for an exchange of information related to the history of our county.   Many of our youth living in Forest County today have little experience or knowledge about visiting the McArthur Pine, shopping at the Ben Franklin in downtown Crandon, or attending an elementary rural school.

Let’s encourage our youth to learn this information from the older generation, while at the same time allowing youth the opportunity improve their reading and writing skills.

UW – Madison Division of Extension Forest County will organize both adult and youth participants and will provide postage and envelopes if necessary.   Please message Michelle Gobert directly either via Facebook messenger or email at michelle.gobert@wisc.edu if you or your child is interested in participating.

Please note that the CDC recommends that individuals handling mail should practice hand hygiene frequently as handwashing is one of the best ways to protect yourself and your family from getting sick.
