What is happening in Forest County right now with respect to Broadband?
The Forest County Broadband Commission is working with Green Bay-based internet service provider Bugtussle, who recently purchased Rhinelander-based Northwoods Connect to implement two Wisconsin Public Service Grants in Forest County. Bugtussle is in the beginning stages of a $7.7 million grant to deploy 97 miles of fiber optic cable and also provide wireless internet service in an effort to get broadband to homes and businesses in Forest County.
Will this help me get better internet at my home in Forest County?
Eventually, yes. The building phase will take until the end of 2024.
