The Forest County Land Conservation and UW-Extension committee announces the 2019 Wisconsin Land + Water Poster Contest. This contest is open to youth in kindergarten through the 12th grade that attend a Forest County school or are home schooled within Forest county.
This year’s theme for the poster is “Life in the Soil : Dig Deeper”. The poster contest has five age divisions. Judging will be held at the county level in January of 2019 and first place winners are eligible to advance to the district, state and national levels. The National competition is sponsored by the National Associate of Conservation Districts. Classroom teachers in Forest County schools that complete the contest as a class project will be eligible to win a $25 classroom gift card to Amazon.com.
Posters are due to the Forest County Land Conservation office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. School district poster pick-up may also be scheduled by calling Michelle Gobert at 715-478-7797 or email michelle.gobert@wisc.edu.
