2023 Land + Water Poster Contest

Forest County Land Conservation office and UW-Extension announce the 2023 Wisconsin Land + Water Poster Contest.  This contest is open to youth in kindergarten through the 12th grade that attend a Forest County school or are home schooled within Forest County.

This year’s theme for the poster is “One Water”.  The poster contest has five age divisions.  Judging will be held at the county level in January of 2019 and first place winners are eligible to advance to the district, state, and national levels.  The National competition is sponsored by the National Associate of Conservation Districts.

Posters are due to the Forest County Land Conservation office on Thursday, January 19, 2019.

A parent/guardian signed entry forms must accompany each poster.  Entry forms are available on Forest County’s UW-Extension website at https://forest.extension.wisc.edu.

Discover 4-H Project Boxes

Forest County 4-H is participating in Wisconsin 4-H’s Virtual Learning Community in January and February 2023.  This opportunity is available to all Forest County youth in grades K-2 or grades 3-6.   Participants will receive in the mail their own Discover 4-H Project Boxes filled with Take & Learn Activities, a supply list and virtual session information.  Participants are then encouraged to connect with other youth across the state during scheduled virtual sessions.  Take and Learn boxes are a great way to learn about hands-on learning opportunities of 4-H.
